Bolingbrook Community Television won 14
awards (for the year 2001), including Best Overall Program, at the Will County Volunteer Video Awards
held on April 6, 2002.
Bolingbrook Community Television took the top honors for "Will County Progress" by Steve Idler. Idler also won Best Community Event Program for a Single Event, "Veterans Day 2001," and Best Program Opening, "Will County Progress."
Also in the first-place division, Marty Rennels and Idler won Best Municipal Meeting Coverage for the July 24, 2001, Village Board meeting. Art Todesco and Idler won for Best Entertainment Program for a Single Event for "Community Chorus Holiday Concert." Todesco won Best Public Affairs Program for a Series for "Bridging the Gap." Mike Jacobs won Best Entertainment Series for "For the Love of Animals."
Coming in second place were Norm Gallant, Bill Racine and Phil Wilson for "2001 Tee Ball Championship" in the sports single-program category; Idler for "2001 Bolingbrook Tee Ball Series" in the program-opening category; Beverly Cannon for "Ecstasy Forum" in the public affairs single-program category; and JoAnn Robinson for "From the Heart" in the programseries category.
Third-place winners were Idler for "Christmas Eve Promo" in the promotional message series; Todesco and Lee Balthazar for "The Buckinghams" in the performance event as a single-program category; and Robinson for "From the Heart" in the program-series category. |
